Grading and assessments

Use Grading and assessments in the correct school account. Select the academic year shown on the page before working with courses or results.

  1. Confirm the subject, course offering, class section, and grading scale are correct.
  2. Create the assessment for the intended course and date.
  3. Check its maximum score before opening it for marks.

Opening an assessment captures the class roster. Students added to the class later are not silently added to that assessment.

  1. Open the assessment and enter each student’s result while it is open.
  2. Use the correct outcome for absent, exempt, or incomplete work. Do not enter zero to mean that a result is missing.
  3. Review the marks and grades before publishing.
  4. Publish the assessment when the results are ready.

A published result is retained as a record. If a result must change later, use the correction action and provide a reason. Ask a school administrator if a required course or grading scale is missing.
